As airsoft gets more and more popular over the years, manufacturer’s
race to manufacture products that can deliver more action and realism
into the sport. The realism of airsoft has evolved incredibly! One such
innovation being an airsoft grenade. Airsoft grenades are now a major
influence in most airsoft skirmishes and MILSIM games & a must have for
most proffesionals. There is a lot of thought and process that goes into
making airsoft weapons, manufacturers work endlessly in the design to
make it look, feel, & function much like the real weapon. The airsoft
grenades are no different.

Airsoft hand grenades are small antipersonnel weapons made to be thrown
manually by hand, and explode a few seconds later (anywhere from 1.5 – 3
seconds). An airsoft hand grenade will usually have a “kill” radius of
10 to 20 meters and can spray anywhere from 30-100
airsoft bbs. It is
also important to keep in mind the blast pattern of the grenade, this
will depend on the design and quality of the grenade. Some airsoft
grenades will require more skill than others because of the blast
pattern it has, throwing it the wrong way will result in the airsoft bbs
all blasting into the ground instead of actually hitting your enemy.
If you have never been good at throwing objects a far distance much less
with accuracy there is a solution for you as well. Airsoft grenade
launchers are designed to launch your grenade faster! farther distances!
and with better accuracy! Airsoft grenade launchers are available in
different forms, they are available as a stand alone weapon, an
attachable piece to a rifle, or already part of a rifle. Airsoft grenade
launchers that attach to a rifle will usually be mounted under the
barrel. It is recommended that if you are buying an airsoft rifle with a
grenade launcher already assembled into the weapon you check to see that
the airsoft grenade launcher can be unmounted, that way if there is no
need for grenades in the game you don’t have to tote around a grenade
launcher under your airsoft rifle barrel.
There is one big drawback to all this excitement and hype with airsoft
grenades. A decent airsoft grenade will cost you around $40 and the
better ones are even higher at prices of up to $120. Many of these
airsoft grenades are comprised of multiple pieces some being really
small like the holding pin for example.
Throwing one of these airsoft grenades in the middle of an intense
airsoft battle with lots of adrenaline pumping can leave you not
remembering where you threw your airsoft grenade or in what area it
landed. Many airsoft players even after finding their grenade were not
able to find all the pieces.
Airsoft grenades are a must have for players that have been in the game
for a while, not to mention it would also look really nice hanging from
your airsoft gear! They can add excitement and much more realism into an
airsoft skirmish, best of all you can use airsoft bbs that have already
been used to fill up your airsoft grenade. This is definitely something
you should have in your stable of airsoft weapons.
